For days you have been an emotional wreck. As each day comes and goes, you are trying to meet your standards. You have put so much pressure on yourself by attempting to fulfill this long to-do list and when those boxes aren’t checked off, you tear yourself apart. Life happens, things happen that are out of your control. So, you’re feeling defeated because you didn’t accomplish everything on your to-do list. You feel like you don’t measure up and it’s causing you anxiety, exhaustion, depression, and sadness. You are basing your performance, your ability to be perfect and complete with your daily duties as a wife and as a mother.
Stop relying on self-works to give you self-worth.
You’ve been so caught up in your works; how much you’re able to get done in a day to feel accomplished.
You’ve created these laws in your head by the world standard that you must be perfect.
You’ve been relying on your own strength and not mine.
“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT
You’ve been wallowing in your failed goals you’re setting each day. Have you forgotten about my grace for you?
Grace is unearned, undeserved, unmerited. I don’t extend my Grace by good works, I freely give it. You can do nothing to earn my grace. Give yourself grace and continue to grow in my grace and knowledge.
Meditate on my word and always remember Galatians 2:16. “yet we know that a man is not justified [and placed in right standing with God] by works of the Law, but [only] through faith in [God’s beloved Son,] Christ Jesus. And even we [as Jews] have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law. By observing the Law no one will ever be justified [declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty].”
“Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency and qualifications come from God.” 2 Corinthians 3:5 AMP
“This is all I want to ask of you: did you receive the [Holy] Spirit as the result of obeying [the requirements of] the Law, or was it the result of hearing [the message of salvation and] with faith [believing it]? Are you so foolish and senseless? Having begun [your new life by faith] with the Spirit, are you now being perfected and reaching spiritual maturity by the flesh [that is, by your own works and efforts to keep the Law]?” Galatians 3:2-3 AMP
“For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 AMP
Before you start your day, while praying and spending time with me start relying on me in ALL THINGS. Rely on my strength to help you as a mom, wife, teacher, on your job. When you’re weak, in me you’re strong. It’s not by your might, not your power but my Spirit.
Don’t forget to extend Grace to yourself as you’re taking care of your family, your home etc. While using your hands to work remember to continuously seek the Lord and His strength.
