"It is because of the LORD'S loving-kindness that we are not consumed, Because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion and my inheritance," says my soul; "Therefore I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him." The LORD is good to those who wait [confidently] for Him, To those who seek Him [on the authority of God's word]." Lamentations 3:22-25 AMP
Woohoo, WE MADE IT!!
We are in the third month of the year. I don't know about you but January felt really long to me. Did anyone else feel like that? For me, the beginning of 2020 still felt like the end of 2019. I was waiting for this supernatural feeling of "out with the old, in with the new. Hoping that my pain and disappointment I felt previously would magically fade. I began to fixate my mind on the bad, the pain, hurt, trauma, let downs - basically EVERYTHING NEGATIVE.
Am I the only one that tends to sometimes focus more on all the bad after enduring a hard season? I mean, it's easier to.
BUT MAN, there is so much power in praising God for HIS faithfulness and trusting HIM when we don't understand- when it's painful.
I am a testament of 2 Corinthians 12:9. God has given me strength in the weakest time of my life.
So let us practice changing our perspective and highlight the GOOD GOD has done. I'll start first, below I have added a few of my positive experiences.
My February Highlights:
1. Family: I am so grateful for my husband and son. Family time is significant to me. We are more intentional with "US" time. Bonus: We went to Monster Jam. #Restoration
2. Gifts and Purpose: Be Brave Bible Study Series God showed me that he hears me and loves me. He showed up in a mighty way. He showed me HIS love for me. #KingdomAgenda
3. Healthy Community: At the beginning of February, I was invited to Shana's 5G Soirée. The whole experience was therapeutic and powerful. A room full of women where we encouraged and prayed for one another. There was nothing negative about this time together, we ate, laughed, played games, poured into each other, laughed some more. #answeredprayer
4. Therapy: After going into pre-term labor and losing our baby girl Zoey I knew another level of healing and deliverance needed to take place. So I prayed and sought professional help. #Miscarriage #Healing #JesusandTherapy
God gave me the word INTENTIONAL again. If we want change, healing, deliverance, and growth, we have to pursue those things with intention. WE HAVE TO WORK FOR IT. For healing, it may be going to therapy. Change, it may be using our relational intelligence. See where I'm going. We have to fight to get out of that negative space and mindset! As believers, God has given us authority. We have to trust God. We must not lean on our own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
I vowed that this year, 2020, I will continue to Heal, Grow, and Walk-in Obedience and God-fidence.
