Do It Afraid
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord, your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 NLT
The definition courageous means, not deterred by danger or pain; brave.
So God’s word is commanding us to be
Strong and Bold.
Strong and Fearless.
Strong and Dauntless-
with the assurance of the Lord your God being with you wherever you go.
Isn’t it comforting to know that if God has called you to it he’ll always be there? He’ll never fail, forsake you, or leave you hanging.
So after reading that scripture, God asked: “Why haven’t you done what I’ve called you to do”?
There is no excuse! So that’s why I’m doing it Afraid.
Which leads me to ask you, what has God called you to do that you’ve declined the call because you are AFRAID?
What gifts are you not using that could be used to edify the body of Christ?
How many people are waiting for you to do what God has called you to do?
It’s so convenient to stay in our comfort zone, and decline the call out of fear, feeling inadequate, or whatever your excuse may be.
Ask God for boldness to do what he requires of us.
Someone somewhere is assigned to your obedience.
Will you answer the call? Will you “Do It Afraid”?
When doubt and fear creep in remember Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
